What’s the deal with tattoos?

I can understand certain tattoos, but some seem stupid. I have several friends who have cross tattoos, but none of them are religious. Also, some of them have their names tattooed. I have one who has his initials, two that have their first names, and about 15 with their last names. The last name isn’t so bad, but why your first name. We joke and say that they are too dumb to remember their name. The one with his initials, we say he couldn’t fill out paperwork without his (the initial here after signing). Also, I heard a guy say once that every girl has some kind of foreign writing on her, and she probably doesn’t know what it means. She thinks it’s Chinese for beauty and it’s probably French for idiot. I’m not bashing tattoos at all. I think some are really cool and some have a special meaning, but some are just as stupid as the people who get them. What’s your opinion?

and its not a cross for religion its a memorial tattoo for my mom i will put a poem/saying that we had engraved on her stone put in it
it will be on the top center of my back
