Keyhole Wrist Tattoo As First Tattoo– a few questions.
I’m planning on getting a keyhole similar to this picture
but with a slightly more elaborate design with some roses or just a bit more feminine but the same size.
Q: wrist = one of most sensitive/painful places? T/F ?
would it be a bad choice for the first ever experience w/ a tattoo?
how should i prepare for this and can i get it done with one visit
including sketching?
I had my wrist done, and it was unpleasant, but nothing you can’t handle. The chest was the most painful for me, but everyone is different. It is probably a good choice for a first tattoo because it isn’t very large.
If you want to get it done in one visit, call ahead and see if someone will be available to sketch it out while you wait. Make sure you go to a good artist- look at their portfolio, even if you can’t get it done the same day, the wait for a good artist will be nothing compared to a lifetime with a crappy tattoo.

I think its very nice you should deff. get that tattoo. And ya the wrist is kinda sensative but you know what for getting a first tattoo you might go big and go painful to get it over with u know. And ya u should be bale to go in one trip and get it sketched out and done in one sitting. hope this helped
Most of my clients find the wrist bearable. Its only a bad choice if you aren’t sure about it or you have it done poorly. Bring your idea to an artist and see what they can do with it. Call the shop first and tell them that you have a design and want to know if you can get it done in the same day you bring it in. Some shops can work over email, you can send them the link and they can have it ready when you come in. Others need to talk to you in person so a second trip is unavoidable. Don’t go to a shop just because they can get you in right then, sometimes waiting and going to a good shop is better than rushing into a bad one. Be careful not to do this tattoo to small, too much detail done too tiny can blur. The more you do the larger the tattoo will need to become. Tiny roses look like strange bugs later in life and once the detail becomes smudged, there is little you can do short of covering it.
